Professional background
Government attorney (Abogado del Estado) since 1984 (currently on leave of absence). He served the Spanish Civil Service in Asturias and the Ministry of the Presidency, and practiced before the Madrid Superior Court of Justice. Since 2000 to 2002, he was Head of the Legal Department of SEPI (the Spanish state-owned holding company). Member of Ferreras Abogados between 2002 and 2006.
